Kathleens book report

My report on Journey to the Center of the Earth by Jules Verne

Professor Otto Lidenbrock was a mineralogist.
One day he was studying an old book by Arne Saknussemm and found in the book an old artifact that was very hard to decode. (The picture of the artifact is on the bottom of my report.)
Now this artifact had stumped the Professor.
He worked on it for hours not letting anyone in his household eat! Now, his nephew, Axel was an orphan and has been living with his Uncle for years.
Axel was studying the old artifact while his Uncle was out and Axel began to feel faint so he began to fan himself with the artifact. Then he saw it!!! The answer to all their work. He dared not tell his Uncle, for he new what would happen. He was scared, so he was about to throw the artifact into the fireplace. Then, the Professor stormed in quite upset that he still could not solve it! His Uncle studied the old artifact for hours more and Axel could not refrain any longer. “All right I have got it.” Axel said, giving in to his hunger pains. Arne Saknussemm has journeyed to the centre of the earth
and….
And you have to read the book yourself!!

What I liked about the book:
The willingness of their guide Hans.
The fearlessness and perseverance of the Professor.
-------------------------------------------------
What I did not like:
That Axel was such a crybaby!
I did not really relate with the charters.

Sounds like a good book. What grade level would you say this book is for?
